“Hero” by X Factor finalists set to be the biggest hit no comments
“Hero”, the Mariah Carey cover that was sung by all the finalists of the X Factor is expected to become the fastest selling single of 2008. Diana Vickers, the X Factor starlet is set to be number one this weekend along with others for the new track.
The single as been recorded for a charity named Help for Heroes which provides support for soldiers, servicemen and women.
Amazon.com reportedly had sold out of the track in just a few hours. The cover for the hit song is currently the best selling single at HMV and also is at the top of Play.com’s download chart and the iTunes top 100 downloads.
“Single releases tend not to be such a big event these days, but this one is definitely bucking the trend”, HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said. He also added, “We predict it will become the fastest-selling single of this year.”
